2.     Activities

2.1.         Religious Spiritual Enlightment

a.     Meelad-un-Nabie is celebrated at both the Masaajids on 12th of Rabi Al Awwal (Birthday of the Prophet S.A.W). Yaseen Shareef is read from the 1st to the 12th followed by a short talk on the life of the Prophet S.A.W.

b.     Khatme Khwajegan is read at the Riverside Mazaar on every Thursday after Maghrib Salaah.

c.     Holy nights such as Lailatul Qadr, Lailatul Me’raaj and Lailatul Baraath are observed at both the Masaajids.

d.    Ashura (10th Muharam) is observed in Riverside during the evening and day with a full programme of Khatum, Marsiya       Naaths, Lecture, Salaam and Dua. Yaseen Shareef Khatum is also read from the 1st to the 10th at both Musjids after Esha.

e.    Gyarwee Shareef (11th Rabi-ul-Akhir) is celebrated at both Masaajids. Yaseen Shareef is read after the Esha Salaah from the 1st to the 11th followed by a short lecture.

2.2.         Welfare

        a.         Free education, Kitaabs and books are provided to our children at our Madressa. Free uniform is also given if required.

        b.         Financial assistance is given to families with rent, electricity and medical problems.

        c.         Aqeeqah, Sadaqa and Niaz meat are distributed to the poor and needy.

        d.         Food hampers are distributed during the month of Ramadan and also all year round.

        e.         Assistance is given in burial facilities and providing free kafan to the destitute.

         f.         Qurbani meat is distributed on a large scale to the poor and needy.

        g.         Gilaaf (Sheets) that are brought to the mazaar shareefs of Hazrath Badsha Peer R.A and Hazrath Soofie          Saheb R.A are given to the poor and needy. Recently they were also sent overseas to disaster areas like Bosnia and Somalia.

        h.         Shop Soiled and old clothing are also given to the Needy.

2.3         Physical Nourishment (niaz)

        a.         Niaz Langar food is provided and distributed at most of our functions especially during the various Urs Shareefs held during the course of the Year.

        b.         On Friday, Musallees are provided with lunch after Juma from both Masaajids. These are subsidised by donors as Esaale Sawaab for their loved ones.

        c.         During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Iftaar is provided daily at both Masaajids. Supper is also provided at Riverside on weekends.

2.4.         Islamic Literature

        The Following are published regularly: -

        a.         Four Issues of a newsletter annually, which includes articles on Islam, Wisaal dates of eminent personalities, Holy occasions in the Islamic Calendar, birth of the new moon and Darbar News.

2.5.         National Monument

Foreign and local visitors – individuals and groups, Muslims and non-Muslims call at both the centres for information and as a matter of interest and attraction. They have to be briefed on the life of Hazrath Soofie Saheb R.A and Hazrath Badsha Peer R.A and the purpose of the various buildings that are being administered in their names.
